Faunsdale, AL | All the ones that seem to last for a decade have been countertop models here. Over range mounted have not been as long lived. We don’t really do that much heavy cooking or any canning etc under ours but we’re probably averaging more like 5 years on the ones over the range.
I’ve never hooked up the exhaust vent we used to have with just a vented hood and light over the range. There’s a stud right in the way. The microwave-hood combinations have an internal filter and option to blow back into the room above the microwave so that’s what I’ve been doing on two now. | |
