Just sad that some people cant get over that... They probably forgot about the hard times in the eighties though....
Considering Deutz is the reason for Gleaner's tiny market share, along with AGCO's small tractor and implement marketshare, Deutz deserves its reputation, as its reputation lives on. A lesson in European arrogance...that AGCO hasn't learned.
From #3 to unlisted in under half a decade, that's something to remember.
Air cooled engines in a flammable environment, no NA distribution network, nothing built for the NA market, nothing that would hold up in the NA market, a disappearing dealer network, what was Deutz's point? Apparently Eastern Europe didn't work either if they're SDF with a pile of other brands now as well.
