My son had a 2012 and a 2015 Freightliner.
I actually bought a trailer to haul them home on.
I figured at least $20,000 a year each just for emissions repair. Not counting the thousands in down time.
Perhaps, if they were operated by the owner, it would have been different, who knows.
So far so good on my newer excavator though. But I have only ran it a little over 100 hours.
