There really are no whole grains in people’s diet, mostly just highly processed grain that began as whole grains and they are pretty much identical to the not whole grains with the exception the finely ground fibers do add some bulk.
My mother has a wheat grinder on the counter. I don't think she has ever bought flour in her life. All her grain products are from fresh ground wheat flour.
Exception to the rule for sure. But some people do.
