in 1982 there were probably more IH tractors than JD in our county. There were prob 5-6 IH dealers in a 50 mile radius. When they went belly up and tennaco bought them, within a couple years the only dealer leftwas 100 miles away. Couldnt afford a new one of any color, but in 5 years when things improved most people changed to deere, because there was a good dealer in town. Case IH, was a long drive for support
