Kansas City, Missouri | Also, not trying to start a brand fight haha. I love all older tractors, early 2000s and older, but from what I’ve operated, the Sound-Gard cab stands out compared to Ford and White cabs of the time. The 15-speed powershift is unmatched for its generation, aside from the Magnum’s powershift. Another edge I’d give Deere is the hydraulics, hands down the best I’ve run for that era.
Deere’s designs may have felt a bit dated in the late '80s and early '90s, but the build quality and fine-tuning of their proven systems kept them on top IMO. No hate on the Over/Under transmission, but personally, I’m not a fan.
I've seen way more old Deeres with 16k plus engine hrs never been opened up compared to other brands.
Just my thoughts, no hate. | |
