When Case IH introduced the first Magnum tractors, if you lived through that period, what was your reaction? What were farmers around you (and dealers) saying about the introduction of these tractors?

Were these tractors superior to Deere at that time, ie better power shift, cab, engine, etc.

Just curious - Thanks!

We had 88s at the time and the dealer brought one out.

It used more fuel and with chloride and weights it slipped more than the 88s. Otherwise nice, but expensive.

We bought a used 94 series instead, as it had no hours, new tires and the dealer wanted it gone, so it was fire saled for extremely cheap.

Both the 88s and the 94s are still here today.
