Southern Missouri | I’m kinda thinking may be some here weren’t around on January 4th 1980 , the day my old RIP friend Jimmy put the Russian grain embargo on and me and lots and lots of other U S farmers had their bins full of 1979 grown corn , mine lost 40000 dollars in value in two days , they may also not own land that could easily be cleared of trees and precision leveled and farmed but I’m told if I do that to that land I won’t be eligible for any type farm programs and neither will any heirs that those wooded acres get passed to , farm programs are many different things to many different people, one thing it is for sure is a way for them to have some control over land usage . | |
