| There was a lot of excitement. Finally a powershift. Some apprehension to the new engine but once they demoed the tractor they couldn't believe the huge increase in torque.
And yes there were many JD customers that bought a red tractor for the first time. Some CIH dealers put the dual pto shafts in them up to the 71/7240 and that was a big sell to JD people too. A much nicer cab with more visibility. When Deere came with the 8000 series with even a rough shifting transmission the Magnum was a harder sell.
