We have been building ours using commercial. Don't know that it is economical, but I can tell you that by far our highest yielding fields when all other factors are equal are the ones that have higher fertility levels. 20 ppm seems to be a pretty solid number that is critical for us, maybe a little higher on wheat ground. We try to build closer to 30 when possible.
