Oswald No-Till Farm Cleghorn, IA | Hi,
I am seeing the same thing though we did receive rain last week.
Do any of you have NK 51-T8 or 47-F2? The only NK stuff I have is 53-U1, 51-T8, and 47-F2. They really didn't take stress well with the 47-F2 looking like you said... sweet corn with only partial ears in my mind. Fortunately only 6 bags of that one. This is on "A" slope Galva Primghar soils. 51-T8 is about as bad on the SW slopes. Haven't checked all the 53-U1.
Saw George Rehm at Waterloo IA (Midwest Strip Till Expo) and he thinks some hybrids stressed more than just moisture stress. Likely nutritional stress.
Interested in your thoughts and observations from dealer test plots from others in the dry area.
