West Central MN (between MMF and Larson's)
640 Acres - 1/8/2021 06:34

Our local ethanol plant had to shut off corn deliveries yesterday because they got full. Great prices and great weather has resulted in a lot of deliveries by guys that usually hold their corn until summer.

Same here, they went full 2 hours into Thursday morning. Not taking anything today thru the weekend to chew open some space. Sounds like similar to some of what someone else said. They feel good until spring work, but at current pace the will likely be full going into spring. So maybe not a big deal??

Shuttle loader just put out an APB that they have a push for April/May corn. Must be a lot of trains to load then. We already have a slug commited to ship then from earlier pushes.

Guessing late summer e plants and feeders will be looking a lot harder for corn than normal.
We will likely send only 1/3 of our corn to ethanol this year vs about 80% the past 4-5 years.
