Will have to see. Could be something to do with an infinite amount a paper (imaginary) ounces being sold and converted to an ounce of physical.
If 200oz of paper exist for every ounce of physical gold for example, and some major holders of paper sold to buy physical, you could actually see the price crater while no actual physical is left to buy.
I beleive this is how price discovery and free markets work.
What's the deal with the metals today?
