Ammo is a pretty decent hedge against inflation. I bought a jet ski for 500 rounds of 9mm fmj and 100 box of target load 12 gage. The cash asking price was $1200, actual price of ammo was around $250.
works great if you overlook the fact that the added value comes from the fact you are supplying a felon with ammo he can't legally get anywhere. I suppose, not much different than the drug trade.
