I completely agree with you how pathetic it is but to be fair I think we are misplacing the blame. If my neighbor takes it how don't I? That list goes on and on. Imo it is congress and the rest of the swamp to blame. "Those that promise the most from the treasury will get elected".
I would love to stand up and not take any kind of government payment but that is cutting off your nose to save your face.
