| Biden’s proposed changes will trigger cap gains any time there is a change in title. So giving it while you’re still alive using the unified credit will still trigger the cap gains. SENODAK did a very thorough job of explaining the situation at hand in his first post above. Read it, TWICE. In addition, he will do away with like-kind-exchanges. I am going to do my best to put up a post in the near future on how I believe is the only way around this debacle. Estate planning is going to be put back on the front burner big time.
