Personally I think upon death it should just be taxed one way as a death tax, say 25-33%. If you want to continue the legacy you will have to earn it, no free rides. I don't understand why everyone gets so worked up about paying taxes upon death and not get as worked up about paying taxes while alive. Actually according to PPP loans apparently many guys don't hardly pay taxes while alive. I'm trying to figure out how guys that own 1000 acres only make 15K in a year, or a 10K/ac farmer making 8k.
