| They have every right to bring it to the market. However the issue comes from the marketing .
1-that crap has so many chemicals and binders in it that no one is talking about. It can’t be healthy for a person.
2-they like to use the words associated with meat in their advertising. This is deceptive, much like using milk with almond.
If these companies were forced to be honest in their marketing they would have to call it a chemically manufacturers plant protein product.
I honestly don’t think these products are a big threat. They can try to imitate ground meat products. However steaks and chops are not going to happen.
The real threat will be lab based meat or should I say test tube based animal derived protein. If they can work out the economics on it, this could deliver a product meat eating consumers may accept. | |
