southern MN | Yea, you can split out tile, fencing, extra applied fertility, and such.
It’s something that better be reasonable accurate and all. My tax accountant went over it, we ran the tile and a fence line (I have cattle so it’s useful asset) through, I did soil tests and that wasn’t worth following up on, other than I had to buy more fertilizer...... accountant said a third party should pull the samples if you want to try that.
I don’t think you will make a killing on it, few bucks an acre might move.
