Good friend, who we rent some ground from and also go out for dinner/drinks with him and his wife quite often, owns HVAC business and told me in August that he had ordered a load of furnaces to equal the average of what he sells during the winter season.  At the time, he didn't know how long the backorder was going to be because of one component that comes from a factory in Mexico that had been closed down on account of the Rona.  Fast forward a few months, he was sold out and had to go source a few units from somebody a couple hours from here who fortunately had some spares on inventory.  Agreed that more of this is to be expected as the long hangover from the Kung Flu and the election works through the system.
