The thing that angers me most about this is that they've jumped through all the hoops. They've met all the requirements (and then some). And it's still going to be cancelled by one man.

Imagine you get a permit to build a house. You get the foundation poured. And then the local building inspector shows up with a list of things you have to do besides what's required in the code.

This goes on at each level of completion-framing, roofing, siding, etc. Each time you do it to code, each time the inspector shows up with more requirements beyond the code.

This is pretty close to what's been going on with Keystone. If it continues, and eventually the project gets cancelled even after billions of dollars have been poured into it, I can't see why private industry would ever take on a project this big, ever again. It's a business killer, at a huge, national level.

Never mind what it will do to the price of a gallon of gas. Don't think that all the other oil producing countries aren't watching this closely.
