| What constitutes 'cheap' to you may or may not create a workable margin for an ethanol plant. There is not a fluid way to sell their output in deferred timeframes, so they work a lot on a cash basis in the close timeframes. Without the derecho and some areas that dry weather compromised the finish of the corn crop, they could have just as likely been sittin on a bunch of $4.00 corn that could sink the operation. | |
