The only thing I remember from 2008 is I sold a boat load of corn ahead for $3. Was such a dumb move I didn’t sell anything ahead in 2009.



What I remember about 2008 was working so many hours that I swore I was either going to make changes or quit farming, even though that was the first year that we made a pile of money.

2009 I remember standing next to a dairyman’s feed tractor trying to get him to buy 200 acres of a neighbor’s corn and I’d custom harvest and bag it for him. He didn’t want to commit, and ended up paying 2x as much for corn in 2010.
