I do not buy into conspiracy theories. This is not my theory but if a person wanted to believe that China is attempting to drive up the price and has a motive it could be that they know prices are going higher so drive them even higher in the hope that South America will continue to expand so that in years ahead the price will be cheaper. Short term pain for long term gain.
