Farming in Michigan
It takes allot of lithium, neodynium and other rare earth metals to make efficient batteries and motors. China presently corners the market on those and I'd hate to see the impact to the workers doing that.
We can ramp up production in other places but it's not quick, cheap, or environmentally friendly to mine those.
