No disagreement on being forced upon us.

If we as farmers were the ones building the solar panels instead of waiting for fly by night solar farm lease buyers to show up at our doorstep, we could retain more profit that they are making. Then solar could profit for farmers and bring costs for own farm down. Costs in the 3 cent kwh range.

Solar panels have gotten cheaper. Over their lifetime fossil fuel prices rise and solar panel installed price is fixed. Similar with wind turbines. Inflation will only widen the margins.

If we didn't have the infrastructure in place, fossil fuels appear to be the higher cost source (pipelines, freeways, transmission lines)

We rule things out because it once didn't work but now it may or may not.
