I sold 10% of my old crop corn for $5.50 on Friday for Feb delivery. Last sale was for $5.08 earlier this month (also 10%). So I still have 80% to go.
I'm shooting for the moon on corn since I totally messed up by selling all my soybeans at harvest for $10.30. Next corn sale at $5.75 and then $6???
Have got an offer to sell corn @ $6.05, got within 8 cents on Friday. Sold first corn @ $4.80 on Dec 23. Amazing that would put about $1.20 on corn in a month this time of year..
IMO corn market is powder keg, sounds like the farmer is in about same shape on corn sales as they are on beans. Pretty much out of bullets. |
