Here ethanol plants are shut down. Valero in linden quit producing. They are taking rail cars to ship corn to China. Poet certailed some production. Other elevators are waiting on rail cars, which are 2 weeks out. Some rail is going to NC for freighters, other rail is going to Cairo for barge. They are telling us the barge traffic is slow. Is there lack of barges, lack of moisture make it harder to navigate, how much weight/bu can one barge hold, how many barge per tug, with a lower river do they carry less grain? Plus 5 dollar corn 14 dollar beans has made grain a logistical nightmare. Just wondering. Thanks



Not true. Linden ethanol is still running, just not a full capacity.
