Northeast Iowa | I dont think this will move to commodities. People will buy physical silver, maybe gold or others. BUT the gamestop thing was so many people with $1000 or less making the difference.
I dont know about some other platforms, but no commodities trades on Robinhood. I'd guess limited or no trade on other platforms without extra effort. I dont believe the average user that has traded for 15 months is going to make that leap and keep or even have the minimum margin for a mini-contract of silver or gold.
Beyond that, if we did see the squeeze on silver or in commodities: we will see commitment of traders, AND the contracts have an expiration, unlike buying whole stock. They'd have to liquidate their longs, and you could see some easy money being made in if the boat is too unbalanced near expiration. | |
