Southern MN | I do but again it has unintended consequences. Our area collects a small portion in losses compared to what we put in. Some areas collect way more than the premiums they pay in. I know I have read on here people in some areas say they can and do farm for the crop insurance. We would be far better off without it, in the tougher years we would make decisions based on the market and return, not how close we are to our guarantee. Another govt program that has good intentions, but from the overhead view has hurt small farmers, created overproduction, etc. kind of a perfect example of the problem with govt involvement.
