Personally don't think the market is suddenly going to wake up in a few weeks and think oh boy we better have an acreage battle. The market has been working on anticipated fundamentals for months. Any sudden last minute adjustments could be made based on the result of the March intentions report but at that point it takes a pretty sizeable movement in the ratios.
I posted March as I still have half my old crop to sell but December sure appears it could go up a bunch in next couple months if fundamentals continue to tighten. That is the month that will battle for new crop acres. I don't think we have fully priced the current carry out into the December market yet. |
