Seems a good analogy would be card counting at the casino. Why don't they permit it? Because they can't win. Ive been reading WSB for the last couple hours for the first time ever. Movements like this absolutely scare the hell out of the rich and powerful. Egypt's ruler fell to an organized attack through facebook, the elites are aware of this.
The idea this is having an economic impact on Wall street is comical, Elon Musk alone has gained 180 billion in wealth in the last 12 months. GME, AMC and the others all combined aren't a drop in the bucket. The fear of how this could change things is the concern. I personally applaud them. Day traded Friday but thinking about owning a few shares just because I like the stock. Etrade currently isn't showing the proceeds from closing out that trade as being available, never had this before so just another reason I like the stock.
