Buffet seemed to be tight with the Obama administration.. saw the Baken crude oil boom coming.. bought the BNSF and locked up access before the pipelines arrived.

It seemed Baken was a step on the way to tar sands and eventually Alaska?

Keystone 1.. they built down to a transcanada natural gas pipeline.. then across to eastern North Dakota.. then south.

Keystone XL is to be a more direct line.. and free 1 back to natty gas. We may need both??

It’s a bargaining chip.. eventually it will be needed.. but till then it’s peripheral logistics adding variable production.
