| Those situations have added demand....you are correct. But to defend the USDA is questionable. We are talking about an agency that in 2019 was quoted as saying “ we have to count the corn planted as cover crop as “planted acres” because we can’t tell the difference “. This said agency has access to the greatest satellite imagery available along with nearly every farmer giving them the info on what and when was planted where.
With that concept then wheat should be 100 million acres. If they can’t tell the difference between a cover crop in the fall and an actual winter wheat crop.....then stay the h**l out of forecasting production.
