Subject: Hick, serious question why "pay down the national debt" with it.

We as a country can NEVER EVER EVER pay OFF the national debt. So seriously. What is the point. This ends in only one way for this country.
Let me make this simple
You are $50,000 in debt and make $35,000 a year. You can pay that debt off.
You are $5,000,000,000,000 in debt and make $35,000 a year. No way you can pay that off.
So what does it matter if you pay off $73.49 of that debt. Not like anything changes.
