Seems like,
A little late is better than a little early.
Only the emerged part of the head gets the protection.

The next question is,
Miravis Ace alone or tank mixed Caramba or Prosario?

Google says this.

However, Miravis Ace applied at 3-7 days after anthesis was the best performer of the parameters tested such as FHB Index, DON content and yield in this research trial (Table 1). Funded by: US Barley and Wheat Scab Initiative Project and Syngenta.

Is mix of Caramba and Prosaro. Sprayed majority of acres last year with Sphareax, will be the same this year.
