Mitchell, SD | I have never used Palisade before. Didn’t expect to get the amounts of rain we’ve had lately so we applied all the N up front in March. Have some winter wheat fields looking pretty lush and fearful of lodging. Fertilized for 80 but higher possible with favorable weather. Have read many past posts on this topic. I know tankmixing with herbicide is not preferred or recommended but read that others have but don’t know their outcome. I generally use affinity tankmix with starane and 2,4-D. Also know 2,4-D not recommended for high yield wheat potential. I can easily use bison if it would be a safer option. Also, cool conditions would allow a slower growth rate and stronger stem without the growth regulator. Warm, good growing conditions favor Palisade. What are your experiences with tankmixing and what should I avoid? Wheat is mostly F 5-6. Thanks | |
