we've had very dry springs up until a week ago. The cover guys saved a heck of a lot of dirt when we had a 2" downpour friday night.

But I agree absolutely in a very dry spring they can get too tall and make things near impossible. There were cases near here where the cover dried out the top 3 inches and the producer could not get anything to grow.
