Subject: Controlling June Grass in No-till Corn (pic)

Marshfield, WI
Actually strip till with a strip freshener. So no real tillage except on headlands I level with a field cultivator. The June grass creeps in on wet edges and along waterways. We are far enough north we don’t need a burn down. The sprayer follows the planter with atrazine, Callisto and Dual with 10 gallons of 28% as a carrier. I wonder if the 28% is preventing a burn down effect because in soybeans stripped between old corn rows, metribuzin with Dual set it back. Both corn and soybeans will have Roundup in the mix for second pass but by this time the corn is set back. I will be spraying Roundup with the Gator this week on edges as we are at least a week away from turning a wheel. I’m wondering if there’s something else I could add to set it back. Drainage and tillage would eliminate it but that’s not always an option. Can't get pic to load :(
