Really depends on the stands. Personally, 2/3rds of my wheat looks ok. 1/3rd did not come up as well but I will most likely leave it. There are fields in the area that look very poor. Some where nothing has come up. I would say those will be abandoned and planted to milo. Maybe corn or beans.
Out here, if we're dry enough wheat doesn't come up, we're not going to have much success growing any other crop either.
We're in a drought here. Extreme drought is the rating. If we have an acceptable stand of wheat then we are better off leaving that instead of risking on planting to a higher water use crop.
