It was until they changed the rules and decided a self employed farmer could get $41,666.67 if he met two qualifications. Had a $100,000 gross and had a quarter in 2020 that was 25% less than that quarter in 2019.
Current PPP deal is far from what original intent was. Looks to me like this is full bore helicopter money mode we are in.
Then have the ERTC that is effective from Jan 1- June 30 that can get up to $14,000 tax credit per employee for those that have employees. if can keep gross in 2021 under 80% of 2019 first two quarters.. ERTC credit is 70% of wages that maxes out @ $20,000 per employee.
