S Illinois | Your timeframe isn’t correct and you are acting like China can just pick when it’s demand is there and when it is not. China was purchasing well in advance of the derecho this summer and in large amounts.
It took using up of any cushion China had in carryover stocks and outbidding all other countries for available SA supplies to make it through the 19/20 marketing year. Hence why US soy exports did not drop by the same amount of China purchases decreased.
The US didn’t get “dumped” on with regard to China’s soy purchases. Stop with the boogeyman mentality. | |
