If you are correct why would he have started this when China was losing half their sow herd from asf and could do without supply from US for 2 years? If the timing was different, as in maybe last summer, they would have caved within 6 months and been back to buying from US because they would have no other choice. Im just saying soybeans were an after thought for Trump and it actually helped China stand their ground for longer than otherwise possible. Trump deserves little credit for the low prices a few years ago and just as little for current prices imo. It was fundamentals and timing of things mostly out of his control. | |
