We pulled cereal rye in some seed trit 15 days ago. The trit was about 1/4 heads visible and a bit less than chest high. Now it’s fully headed and head high and grains are elongating. It would probably make ok hay still but if I had the choice between hay it now or silage in 2 weeks, I would make it into silage.
