Im just curious how a couple generations could acquire that much farm ground. Must have a fair amount of investment income outside of ag maybe?



It wasn’t unusual for western KS dryland farms to be in the thousands of acres since the depression, that land was cheap before pivots and wells. Pivots have only been around a couple generations... it’s not that hard to figure out how an operation could get to that size in that time.
