Subject: School me on Nitrogen carry over thru the winter ....

I put on some map with my potash to build p and k this late fall , fertilizer rep said I should still have some nitrogen from the map I put down. Then you read on here in the Midwest and people say that zero percent is left over from fall applications . I get it location varys and soil type . Soil here is seating silt loam, 12 CEC, 6.3 pH. Got a good rain on it before freeze came . Ultimately the goal was to build p and k while fertilizer was cheap, but knowing some N stays would give me a warm feeling inside as well, even if it was just 11 percent of map.
