I can't compare the N differences because dap is less than useless on my soil.
I have no doubt that you have found what works better for you. I just wanted to interject that maybe all the difference wasn't only down to Ammonium content.
Its also a given that almost everywhere in Iowa has better soil than most of Nebraska. Especially on the on its ability to hold things like N and S.
