Here’s a crazy idea… forgo government subsidized crop insurance and payments… then you can plant whenever you want… when conditions actually allow. The generations before us made great strides and farmed without all this government payments…. It’s funny to watch everyone complain about it but not a single person will give up their government funding….


Nothing will change until you do… quit using the excuse just because your neighbors use government funding you have to… change starts with you… it’s called managing risk for a reason… you risk what you can afford to lose


Austin why would you not want to use what ever tools are available to minimize risk
We don’t make the rules just learn what the rules are and play by them
We pay up for early replant but seem to replant more planted around April 20 or later

I turn in the correct day FWIW I’m pretty sure the field planted day is the day field is finished not when started

Makes a difference if you break down or get rained out when planting a field want to turn in right plant date
