West Central Missouri | Actually, if you want to get right down to the gnat hairs, it's how many acres you planted (& where) on each different day, not when you started or finished. It only matters for early plant date, final plant date, and during late plant period. Our acreage reports ask for the date planted, not when started or finished.
Some suggest using all the tools available to minimize risk. Minimizing risk obviously comes at a cost. If you're paying $8 an acre for an additional $10 guarantee, you're only gaining $2 an acre on risk coverage for something where (in many cases) you wouldn't have a loss anyway and could have saved the $8. But if that $2 can make or break somebody, by all means, spend the $8, your insurance agent appreciates it. | |
